Join us for a day out in Sussex.
In the morning we take you to Wakehurst, Kews wild botanic garden situated in an area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore the vast Gardens covering 500 acres. Wander through water gardens, woodland meadows, prairies and more.
Wakehurst is home to the world famous Millennium Seedbank. This is a treasure trove of scientific excellence where seeds from more than 38,000 species from around the world are stored to conserve them for the future.
There will be time enough to explore the Elizabethan Mansion, to enjoy a meal ( own expense) in the Stables Kitchen Restaurant and make some purchases in the Visitor Centre Shop.
We leave Wakehurst at 2.15 and take a short drive to The Bluebell Railway at East Grinstead.
The Bluebell Railway was one of the first preserved heritage lines in the country, resulting in one of the finest collections of vintage steam locomotives and carriages. Relax as you journey through the beautiful countryside, , enjoying a Cream Tea.
