To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic film, a major new UK tour of Simon Beaufoy’s The Full Monty has been announced, including a week at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking
Beaufoy’s heartfelt play follows Gaz and his mates — a group of ordinary men who find themselves out of work, underestimated and down on their luck. Determined to fight back and reclaim their dignity, they hatch an unlikely plan that means revealing far more than they ever imagined. Fast-paced and packed with laughs, the story resonates powerfully in an era once again shaped by a cost-of-living crisis.
The production delivers a rollercoaster of laughter and heartbreak as audiences relive the iconic 90s soundtrack and cheer on this unforgettable group of lads as they prepare to put on the show of their lives.
Beaufoy is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter best known for writing The Full Monty, which earned him an Oscar nomination, and Slumdog Millionaire, for which he won Best Adapted Screenplay.
