Day 1: Travel to South Wales, stopping enroute before arriving in the afternoon.
Day 2: Our visit today is to The National Botanic Garden of Wales. This is the first botanic garden in the UK dedicated to conserving plant species. It is set in 600 acres of 18th century parkland with exotic flowers and foliage, lakes, waterfalls and cascades. The centrepiece is its impressive great glasshouse the worlds largest single span glass structure.
Day 3: Today we travel to the Tenby, one of the UKs best coastal towns, to enjoy the atmospheric narrow streets, the lovely harbour and the sandy beaches. Why not visit the Tenby Museum and Art gallery, or the Tudor Merchants House (not included).
Day 4: Today you visit Aberglasney Gardens, one of Wales finest gardens. Made famous by the BBC television series A Garden Lost in Time which followed its restoration. At its heart lies a fully restored Elizabethan Cloister Garden that is the only surviving example of its kind in the UK today. Visitors can explore 10 acres with over 20 different garden styles from formal to the cloister garden to the exotic and modern gardens. See also the award winning sub-tropical indoor garden in the historic grade II listed mansion. There is a shop and Tea Room to enjoy.
Day 5: After departing the hotel we travel to Dyffryn Gardens, a peaceful oasis with a range of garden areas from intricate themed garden rooms to sweeping formal lawns and productive kitchen gardens to a large arboretum. The gardens host a number of different styles inspired by countries from all over the world, from a recognisable Italian influence in the Pompeiian Garden to the rainforest-like quality of the plants in the Exotics Garden. Café and shop. After, we continue our journey to the local area, arriving late afternoon.
