COTSWOLDS - BURFORD & STOW-ON-THE-WOLD EXPLORER DAY

A drive through the beautiful Cotswold area with stops at two of the most pretty and attractive towns in the area.
Burford’s famous High Street sweeps downhill towards the River Windrush with its three-arched medieval bridge and its impressive church Both sides of the street are flanked by an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops.
There are wonderful alleyways and side streets to explore with independent shops and next to a set of medieval alms-houses stands St John’s church, a permanent memorial to Burford’s wealth.
Refreshments – many cafes and restaurants for both a coffee and lunch are available
Accessibility - areas of the town are hilly
Stow-on-the-Wold our second stop of the day has a large Market Square which is large and impressive and testifies to the town’s former importance. There are independent shops, antique centres and cosy cafes for your afternoon teas.
