Bath Explorer Day

AN EXPLORER DAY IN BATH

THURSDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER

Bath as a city has so much to offer and a day exploring will give you a taste of what is available.

From a historical angle the following are definitely worth a visit - Bath Abbey which is described as a Historic masterpiece; The Roman Baths which give an insight into the original Roman complex, including the famous Great Bath where hot water still bubbles up; Pulteney Bridge and the weir with its shop lined Georgian bridge spanning the River Avon.

Then of course there are the shops!

The modern shopping centre houses all the usual retail stores but the surrounding streets have many independent shops and cafes keeping the feel of Bath as a city.

Accessibility – be prepared for a certain amount of walking during the day – the streets within the town centre are mostly flat

Refreshments – many cafes and restaurants are available within the town for coffee and lunch
