Bruges Christmas Markets are renowned for their charming atmosphere, with twinkling lights, festive decorations and wooden stalls that sell everything from artisanal crafts to traditional Belgian treats. The markets offer not just shopping and food, but an immersive experience into the festive culture of Bruges.
A visit to the Bruges Christmas Markets is a journey into the heart of Belgian Christmas traditions, not only decorative but including such specialities as gingerbread houses and chocolate delights. Something special and different to add to your Christmas presents!
As well as the Christmas Markets Bruges has numerous places of interest to visit. The historic city centre is a prominent UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bathed in history it can take you back to the Middle Ages. The iconic spires of its Cathedral and Bell Tower, cobbled streets, winding canals and whitewashed facades are picturesque.
Your day will start quite early and finish late, but what an experience to travel to such an iconic place for the day!
You will travel by coach on a train through the channel tunnel to Calais, then drive onto Bruges. The group will be dropped off with just a short walk to the centre of the old town.
Refreshments – There are numerous cafes, restaurants and street food vendors for all your needs throughout the day.
Accessibility – Some of the streets are cobbled, the pavements are wide and the area is mostly flat. However, be prepared to walk and wear comfortable footwear.
